About This Spot

Step inside Dayglow, a coffee shop that feels less like a typical stop and more like a small daily discovery nestled just steps from the 606 trail. Its vibe strikes a delicate balance between a thoughtfully curated art space and a warm neighborhood hub, where minimalism meets a touch of industrial charm. The pace here is unhurried yet alive, inviting you to settle in whether you’re dropping by for an expertly brewed cup or claiming a spot to focus for a few hours.

The atmosphere hums quietly with creativity and care—the scent of freshly ground beans mingling softly with the subtle whirr of skillful hands working behind the bar. You might find yourself drawn to Dayglow’s cocktail-inspired approach to coffee: unexpected flavor pairings and perfected techniques that turn every pour-over, espresso tonic, or chai latte into a small celebration of the craft. Those moments sipping thoughtfully crafted drinks are enhanced by the space itself, which feels open without losing its intimate warmth.

Beyond the beverages, Dayglow’s connection to the local rhythm is quietly present. It’s a place where dog lovers can grab an iced coffee and head out for a stroll along the trail, and where the thoughtful setup encourages both spontaneous visits and longer stays. The barista’s expertise invites curiosity without overwhelming, making specialty coffee approachable yet intriguing. Whether it’s the subtle notes in a hand brew or the quiet buzz of the room, the experience always feels personal and well considered.

There’s a gentle creativity threaded through the menu—unexpected ingredients and regional beans that invite you to savor more than a routine cup. Dayglow offers not just coffee, but moments: a pause to appreciate nuanced flavors, a space to meet, work, or simply be. It’s this layered, quietly confident character that turns a simple coffee run into something a little more memorable.

I love the cocktail style approach Dayglow has to coffee. The beverages are just as delicious as they are unique. The inside is adorable as well. The key factor and appeal apart for them having delicious beverages and great co-working spaces is the proximity to the 606. There is no better combo than snagging an iced beverage with your dog and heading over to the 606 for a walk! Also your dog is allowed inside- so nice! Service is fast and efficient. It has definitely become a regular visit of mine.

A stylish coffee spot with an industrial-meets-art space vibe. Their coffee offering is phenomenal, featuring specialty beans from roasters around the world, and I love that you get a complimentary drip coffee with bean purchases (far better than most standard drip offerings). Their Totoro latte is also worth trying, featuring a delightful blend of coconut and sesame for a refreshing and satisfying treat The cafe is conveniently located right off the 606 trail. The space itself has a minimalist ambience, with plenty of room to spread out and a cool artist loft tucked in the back. A very cool spot to check out for coffee lovers.

This café actually reminds me of my favorite spot back home in Indy. The coffee is flavorful So good that we ended up getting four coffees on both days we stopped by. We thought the bar where they prep everything has such a cool layout…simple, minimal, but super efficient.

As a coffee connoisseur, your menu is pretty awesome. The Warhol has made exceptionally well by the barista. The vibes are not what I expected from first glance. Definitely a good stop if someone is in the area by the 606 looking to drop in and get some work done but the drinks are considerably pricey by comparison to other shops.

For you folks who like specialty coffee / third wave coffee, Dayglow is a must-visit. They have a wide variety of different offerings on pour over (they call it “hand brew”), and they know how to treat these beans right, and serve coffee properly. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I would put this up against any café in Chicago for creativity and finesse.

Really great drinks even for none coffee drinkers. The pastries were so yummy as well.

Really tasty coffee but the service abd atmosphere are just ok. Its more of a grab and go spot vs some place you'd want to chill at
